Research and Interests

My research focuses on understanding the lives of those engaging in alternative or “lifestyle” sports. I recently completed an ethnographic study on the careers and exits of professional skateboarders. Prior to this, I investigated how adults and seniors engage in a variety of lifestyle sports around the world. Furthermore, building on my experience doing UX research for AWS, I continue to be interested in understanding and improving how individuals engage with sport-related technology and developing new ways to do research at scale while leveraging AI.
