Research and Interests
My research interests include the applications of physical activity for preventive and rehabilitative medicine: Ways in which exercise can both prevent and treat disease and enhance our abilities in extreme environments. I have published research concerning the physical fitness of firefighters. I am also interested in the ethical treatment of human subjects in research, and in the effects of involvement of faculty and student researchers in the human subjects review process on understanding of ethical behavior.
