Research and Interests

My research examines access to healthcare in preventing and controlling the burden of cancer and in the United States with a focus on disparities in underserved and underrepresented groups. This includes tobacco cessation, cancer screening, and health insurance. I am passionate about mentoring students through the research process, providing training on how to use national, public health surveillance datasets for observational studies, and supporting students as co-authors on peer reviewed manuscripts published in academic journals.
