The Kinesiology Club was created to offer a medium through which current and incoming Kinesiology students can communicate with faculty and staff. The club’s primary goals are to foster career development, create professional relationships between faculty and students, and help students navigate their major coursework. Additionally, the club seeks to enhance the department through fundraising and involvement in community events.

Liza Berry - President
I am currently a third-year Kinesiology Major with a minor in Military Science. By working alongside amazing peers, faculty, and community members, Kinesiology has provided me with great opportunities for hands-on learning, volunteering, and employment. As a part of this club, I hope to provide my peers with the same opportunities this exciting major has to offer. After graduating, I am going to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and hope to work in clinics or hospitals abroad. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, surfing, skiing, running, and pretty much anything else that gets me outside.
Sarah Holmgren - Vice President
I chose Kinesiology as my major because it is a perfect fit for my love of sports, passion for learning about the human body and its intricacies, and my deep interest in helping others. After I graduate, I plan to obtain my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and work in an orthopedic clinic. Some of my hobbies include cooking, playing sports, hiking, going to the beach, watching the 49ers win, and enjoying all that life has to offer.
Jess Heinrichs - Treasurer
I am a third year Kinesiology major from a small town in the Central Valley of California called Dinuba. I currently serve as the treasurer for the Kinesiology Club. I entered Cal Poly as a chemistry major but I ended up transferring into Kinesiology after my freshman year because of my passion for sports. I want to pursue a career in sports performance but I am still undecided on my exact career path. In my free time I enjoy playing sports, going on hikes, and being outdoors.
Hannah Beatty - Public Relations
I am a third year kinesiology major with a minor in Gerontology. I chose this major because I love sports and exercise and find the human body fascinating. I originally started at Cal Poly with the hope of becoming a physical therapist but I have recently had a change of heart and am excited to pursue a career in cardiac rehabilitation. Outside of class I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, going to the beach, line dancing, and volunteering with my sorority sisters.
